About this Project

The purpose of this study is to identify circulating biomarkers that consistently increase shortly before a coronary event, and determine whether they may identify persons at high risk for a near-term acute coronary event. This information is expected to lead to improved therapies, in subsequent studies, for prevention and treatment of acute coronary events in persons at high risk for coronary events.
